¿Por qué conformarse con menos?
Etchr utiliza solo papel 100% algodón, última intervensión de ácidos en todos nuestros cuadernos de bocetos. El algodón es la mejor superficie para la acuarela y también es ideal para medios mixtos. Este papel puede soportar múltiples lavados pesados, soporta bien técnicas dañinas como el cepillado en seco, y ayuda a mantener el pigmento con un aspecto vibrante durante el paso del tiempo.
No son tus cuadernos de bocetos promedio
Nuestros cuadernos de bocetos están diseñados específicamente para medios húmedos. Utilizamos técnicas de encuadernación plana y aseguramos que se utilice una dirección consistente de grano de papel en cada cuaderno de bocetos. Esta atención al detalle da un mayor control al artista utilizando medios como acuarela y gouache.

Nuestra gama de cuadernos de bocetos fue desarrollada en colaboración con el artista singapurense Erwin Lian. Como artista profesional y profesor, Erwin entendió los beneficios de usar papel 100% algodón, pero se sintió frustrado con la falta de opciones de cuaderno de bocetos. Erwin creó su "Perfect Sketchbook" con el apoyo de la comunidad de artistas.

Arrived in good time and was packed beautifully as are all Etchr sketchbooks. I have five Etchr sketchbooks both cold and hot press and love them all but this latest is a big disappointment. The paper is not up to expectations, it is of extremely poor quality. Surface breaks down very easily with wet paint, especially when working wet into wet and the masking tape that I have used for years, with all my other Etchr sketchbooks, pulls the surface off the paper. I have never seen that happen with any of my assorted sketchbooks., including the cheap ones. Not at all what I was expecting from Etchr.

Etchr coldpress Perfect Sketchbooks are my absolute favorite. I'm trying this hot press one for the first time to see how I'll like it. I have been doing more pen and wash lately so I think the hot press will work best for that. Other than the book coming already a little dirty on the outside, it seems to be in great condition. The binding looks good (I've had one fall apart before) so far and the paper is the great quality I expect from Etchr. I will update the review once I've used it more extensively.

The hot press paper is extremely non absorbent, and takes hours and hours for even one layer of watercolor paint to dry. The paper buckles very easily, it feels not much better than regular heavier weight sketching paper, so not great for using both sides of a page. Ive worked with much better hot press paper and for the price I expected more. I love my other ETCHR products I have so I’m disappointed. Will be ok to use just as a (very expensive) drawing sketchbook though.
