This constantly goes off line. I always have to reset it. I have mine set up about 2 feet away from internet and it still goes offline. It's not useful and very annoying. I would not recommend buying this camera. It deserves zero stars... But I had to give it one star to make this post

After using EZVIZ Mini cameras for many years, I purchased this model to monitor a remote entrance outdoors. The unit makes good first impressions, setup is fairly straightforward and the unit performed initially ok with somewhat disappointing movement detection, but still better than my previous Zumimall camera. Due to its remote location the camera was mounted on a tree trunk and its battery lasted about 3 months with a light street traffic. I opted out of solar panel as EZVIZ does not offer other colours than white. After 15 months the camera stopped working when the area had a few rainy days in a row. One evening I came to see the camera having the flood light on with voice alarm going off every few minutes (both options had been turned off). Suspecting some sort of short due to moisture, I took it indoors, dried and recharged. It worked for about 4 more days and went offline again. After that, recharging did not make any difference, it became an expensive paperweight. As it turned out, a unit with no serviceable parts, i.e. no battery replacement, no SD card, is a bad idea (don’t care about cloud service)While the camera technically lasted longer than the 12-month warranty, no one buys cameras to last only 15 months. It was by far the worst outdoor performing camera compared to my 3 trail cameras and the above mentioned Zumimall (lasted 24 months and half-price) all installed in the same location over many years. In some fantasy world this camera’s battery lasts 270 days and is IP66 compliant. In the real world it is neither.

I have a total of 9 EZVIZ cameras and two of them are these BC1C's. My other 7 cameras are great, I have been using them for years with no problems and recommend them to everyone. These battery powered cameras are a disappointment. On the positive side, they are very solid and heavy, have amazingly clear resolution, long battery life and some good features that you can't find on other cameras. The EZVIZ app is decent. The colour video at night feature is great. The bad thing about these cameras is that when mounted 10 feet off the ground, the motion detection is abysmal. They only detect motion when you are within about 10 feet of the cameras. The problem with this is that by the time they detect the motion, it's usually too late and the person is already leaving the camera's field of view. So you only end up with a few seconds of video. When I walk directly at the cameras from 30 feet away, head on, they don't see me until I'm almost right on them. It may be alright if you're using it just to monitor your front door, but they are not a good choice for monitoring your entire yard or up the side of the house. Maybe they'll be able to fix this problem in a future firmware patch, but it seems like this is a problem with a low quality PIR sensor. It's sensing distance is very limited. The fact that both of mine have this same issue, tells me that this is not an anomaly.
