This is surprisingly good for the price. I got this as a costume piece for going to renaissance fairs. Its perfect for my purposes. The sizing is good and the material is also nice. For the price its great.

I have never owned a kilt but thought it would be fun to see what they are all about. So take this review from that point of view, never owned one first time wearing something like this.Fit wise this feels a little larger than I had expected and the belt seems to be about 50% larger than I need as it wraps around me and then keep going about another half turn, it may be that way due to the way the buckle is as it is not a traditional kind of buckle but one of these things you have to figure out how to route correctly.Now material wise... I am not sold that this is 100% leather. It feels like pleather or some sort of synthetic leather. It absolutely do not smell like leather at all, in fact it is pretty neutral in smells at all.There are multiple sets of buttons on this to "close" the kilt that seem to be of good quality. The belt feels pretty thin but the rivets seem to be of decent quality. I tried this on and wore it for a few hours to see what it is all about. I am not sure if it was me or the material, but this gets warm. Like, it was around 74 out side which is nice, but I felt like I was baking in this. That being said, it was kind of nice though. You have a ton of movement without any restriction in this. I can see how it would be popular.Overall I had fun wearing this, and it is kind of practical in how un-restricted this is. Kind of makes me a little jelly of women wearing skirts. The only reason I am not ranking five stars is I am not sold that this is 100% leather, it does not feel like it and also the belt is way too big.

Ok. It says leather, but it looks more like I have a plastic trash bag around my waist. I don't find it attractive at all. When I got up the nerve to put it on, the kilt fits fine, but the belt that came with it seems made for someone MUCH larger - in the tightest grommet, it hangs loose (only 3 belt loops) with too much excess on the end to do anything graceful with. For the price, it might do if I were desperate and my other kilts were at the cleaners, but I'm hesitant to wear this under any circumstances.
