I LOVE THIS RED ELECTRIC TEA KETTLE1. It shuts off automatically. NO More loud whistle blowing.2. It's made very well and feel very solid and easy to handle.3. I can see the water level in the kettle and it boils very quickly.4. It's easy to clean.5. It looks GREAT on my kitchen counter.

I love this. We have one at the office, and I fell in love with it there. Fast, quiet, just an awesome device.

We have been trying kettles to find a replacement for a Braun that lasted at least 15 years until the contacts failed a couple of weeks ago. This one had two major features that appealed: price, and being able to tell how much was in it. The other two we tried had ill-placed and illegible markings impossible to read. Quite bizarre.We still like those two features, but are returning the kettle. The problem is one of safety. When pouring out, the steam comes back at one's hand, and it is essential to hold the handle very low to avoid steam burn. I learned the hard way. We don't want to have to remember for ourselves and certainly not to have to warn guests about it. If you think you can remember how to hold it, or always use a mitt even for a handle that isn't hot, this is a fine kettle.

Beware. If anything goes wrong and it is past the return window, it is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty unless it was purchased from Walmart. I found out when I called because the top broke the second time I used it. I called Farberware and was referred to Walmart for which this was made exclusively. Although it is not stated anywhere, either here or in the insert, Walmart advised that, if it was not purchased from them, they will not honor the manufacturer's warranty.

This must have been designed by a tech school dropout. Sure, it's fast(ish), but microwave is faster. This is a HUGE kettle, yet max fill line is literally halfway. I kid you not - and photos are attached.I don't use the word "stupid" if I can avoid it, but this is by far the most stupid small appliance I've ever purchased, and the manufacturer must've approved it just to annoy people.
