This product was provided to me for a Vine review in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion. The item that I’m reviewing today is a solar lantern with whimsical rabbit design which normally sells for about $23.00, but is currently on sale for about 5% off (as of April 2025). The light itself is easy to set up— you just remove the lighting element, pull a plastic tab out to activate the battery, turn the switch to ‘on,’ replace the lighting element, and then peel the clear plastic film off of the solar panel. Once this is done your lantern is ready for charging, although mine came partially charged for a few hours of immediate use. The lantern itself casts a warm golden light through stenciled rabbit-shapes in its hood; the hood prevents the lighting element emitted from being too bright, so that the lantern gives off a warm glow instead of bright illumination. This item is definitely more for enjoying the night in ambient, indirect lighting, than for clearly and brightly illuminating an area. I liked this one so much that I got a matching hummingbird-themed lantern from the same manufacturer. After a full day of charging on my patio, which gets indirect lighting in the morning and direct lighting for the full afternoon and early evening, I get several hours of use— I’m not sure exactly how much, because these lanterns have always been lit when I go to bed, and I’m sort of a night owl sometimes, but they’ve also never still been on when I get up the next morning, and I work early on weekdays. I also leave my lanterns on the patio full-time during the spring and summer months. I would definitely recommend this product.

Shipping was fast, and it was well packaged in bubble wrap and a sturdy cardboard box. I hung this lantern in my yard, approximately 3 feet off the ground. The higher off the ground you go, the fuzzier the outlines get. The designs look beautiful when you set it on a table, or on the ground. Then the grass, the bunnies and the eggs are well defined. To turn it on and off you hold one hand on top and one hand on the bottom, and you flip the lantern upside down. Then turn the little solar panel component until it slides out. Then you move the switch to the on position. This is a beautiful lantern, especially around Easter, but for the price, it would be much better if it had 2 LED diodes. It needs to be a little brighter to hold the shapes and light your path.

I might be prejudiced in my review because the lantern arrived just before Easter and I was definitely in the Peter Cottontail sort of mood. The lantern makes a cute focal point, bright enough to cast a scene on to a nearby fence and the ground below it. It's a little dimmer than in the pictures but it's doing exactly what I want it to, adding a cute focal point in the garden with light and shadows that dance a little in the wind.

The product arrived and I am happy to report that it looks like the images in the description. There is a led at the top that shines down to create the scene. This light is charged by solar power, so this little light will be permanently staying out there. It adds a little bit of charm and lighting to our back yard. I would like to get a few more and hang them from our trees.

You can see paint is brushed over this.It doesn't look like we expected it to.
