I ordered this for my 5 year old niece so she wouldn't get bored while I was babysitting. It's honestly perfect for ages 5-10, but you'll probably have to help the younger ones. The set itself has tons to keep kids busy; I took it out every day during the week I had her and she played with it for 2-3 hours total every day. She loved the sticker parts and the idea of being able to dress the girls up. Overall, this is a great activity, especially for a rainy day.

There are two special little girls in our family circle which love dancing. They both love to be creative and adore colors and dancing. I got this to give them some fun times and mom a break.WHAT YOU WILL NEEDThis might work with some markers, but they would have to be light markers and not juicy ones that will soak through. I think colored pencils and jelly pens might be a better choice, possibly crayons if they are sharp in tip but I would use those as a last choice It is easier to get finer designs with the jelly roll pens or colored pencils. Markers that won't soak through badly would also work.SIZEThis is a nice big size which means that both girls can work at once, or one at a time.BINDINGThis is a sprial bound book which is great making it easy to work on a page without having to have it take up tons of room being open.QUALITYThe drawings in this book are realy nice. They are basic, but provide a great base to decorate. One of the girls is young but advanced for her age and even she can work on this. The stencils have hooks that allow them to be stored in the spiral binding but removed for use. The stickers included have their own bag to be stored in inside the book.PROCESSThe clothes can be designed, but you can use fabric swatches which are stickers for ideas in the fabric. Then you can add sticker shoes or accessories. There are not too many accessories so the user might have to use the stickers as reference to draw their own on some pictures. There is a variety of different dance represented and this makes it fun and interesting.DO THEY LIKE IT?This is a great set. These girls are going to have tons of fun with it. They are very excited about it and are going to enjoy planning the outfits. So far no fighting, time will tell.THE BOTTOM LINEIf you have anyone in the family who is a dancing fan and loves to be creative, this is a fantastic book. It is well thought out and has great features.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. This book is fantastic. I am really thrilled to be able to give this to the two sisters who are best friends.

Great design. I am very impressed with the design of this. It is incredibly easy to remove the stencils in order to use them and replace them in the sketch pad once you’re finished. You can also transfer them to another sketch set book long after you’ve finished the book. I highly recommend this for a tween or teen. It drives them to use their imaginations and is incredibly fun. The size of the sketch book is the perfect thickness because it allows for it to be easily carried in a knapsack. The cover is a thick cardboard and extremely durable too and can definitely withstand a bit of abuse that.I highly recommend this as a gift because it’s such an incredible value!

If you've got a budding fashion designer this is such a cool gift. The drawing pad comes with enough stickers that you can add a little something extra to each page in the book, but critically the stickers are only for accessories or shoes, nothing that would take the place of the clothes. The stencils themselves are a standard weight and not so intricate that it's difficult for kids to use. In a perfect world they would be a little more rigid, but for the price these are reasonable and can then be used after the drawing pad is full. I also like that they have tabs to clip in to the spiral so everything stays together.Inside each style of dance has numerous options for design. Although the Bratz style faces aren't my favorite, I do like that the girls body proportions look reasonable and not Barbie-style unrealistic.The only real negative is that each style of dance uses a different pose. This means the stencils for the outfits are fairly specific to each style. This makes it easy for the kids, but it does limit the open ended exploration of atypical combinations.

I wish there were more stickers for my younger kid. She had another one like this and loved it, but it had a lot more stickers, so that was a bit disappointing. So with that said, this might be better for ages 6+ instead of my 4 year old. Good activity for restaurants, Dr office, on the road, etc.
