La serrure est bien mais pas en français, c'est écrit "libre" et "ocupado" !

This lock has some major flaws that make it difficult to install. No instructions are included. No drilling template is included. Although the ad copy says the lock can be installed on doors of various thicknesses, the included shaft is too short. It would work for a door that is 5/8" to 3/4" thick. For my standard doors, I had to fabricate my own shafts. Once installed, I found that I had to loosen all the screws because the lock was too tight to turn. The lock is stiff out of the box, although that might loosen up over time. The VACANT/ENGAGED indicator does not turn completely into place, so the word ENGAGED does not show properly in the window. As you can see in the attached image, you can only see NGAGED. If the door opened the other way, you would see ENGAGE. Finally, the VACANT sign is printed black over dark green, and is difficult to see or read in low light conditions. A lighter or brighter green background would be an improvement. The lock comes with a socket that would work if the door surface was absolutely flush with the surface of the door trim. For most doors, the door trim projects out from the wall. I had to rout and drill to make a socket in the door trim for the lock to slide into. It is entirely possible that this lock simply will not work with your door trim.THE GOOD: The stainless finish is good. The provided screws, although they don't look good with the lock, seem strong and did not strip out, break, or bore out when I installed into pre-drilled holes. The handle of the lock, although stiff to turn, is large and solid. This lock can be opened from outside with a flat piece of metal, like a coin or the side of a key.THE BAD: If you are not a handy person, you will have a very difficult time trying to make this lock work. You will probably have to fabricate a shaft, and figure out how to make the lock engage with the door frame. Once installed, the lock is basically functional but doesn't look particularly good. You will need a drill, a level, 3/32 and 1/2 drill bits, a screwdriver, a pencil, and probably a router and/or a chisel and hammer. I installed three locks in three hours, a job that should have taken one hour at most. Spend more for a better lock, you will save money on labor.
