I was a little skeptical of this monitor. I use two cameras when filming, Sony FX30 and a6700. I use a Shinobi monitor on the FX30 and always relied on the back screen of the 6700 since it's the second camera. But I do love having the large screen and all the details I can pull up that I can't get on the back of the screen: False color, waveform, zebras (I can get zebras, but adjusting the settings means diving deep into menus).I got this and hooked it up to my a6700. Worked perfectly out of the box. Menus are easy to use and configure with custom buttons along the top for regularly used features. It's so good, in fact, that I got my a6700 a cage so I could mount this on it when photographing to have a jumbotron view. Super pleased with it.Is it as good as my Shinobi? No. It's close though. For half the price, though, it's more than half as good. Exceptional value for a second screen.

Unfortunately, this screen blanks out and goes to no hdmi signal at the settings I would prefer to record at. It seems to have limits. I tested better HDMI cables to no joy. Changing the settings to lower quality solved my issue, but then I didn't get to record in preferred settings.I like to capture 60fps 4k 10 bit color, 422 or 420. It worked in one mode (mp4 or mov I dont remember which) but not the other. :/Overall, nice and bright and still an above average monitor for video, I do like it!

With good colors and ok build, this is a value for money.
