This machined aluminum GoPro case has a unique design that doesn’t require any tools to install or remove the GoPro. You simply slide the back plate upwards, put the GoPro in, and slide the backing back down until it clicks into the springy ball-bearing. BUT… I had to watch a video on the sales listing to figure out how to do it, since the product came with absolutely no instructions. Good thing I wasn’t in a jungle with no internet access. Minus one star for lack of instructions.The absolute best feature of this particular GoPro housing is that it comes with a 52mm threaded filter holder, and a 52mm UV filter to protect your lens. Filtering GoPros has always been challenging, but the ability to use any 52mm screw-in filter is perfect! I have already bought a 52mm polarizer, and I’m I search of a 52mm rubber lens shade.Currently priced at 39.99, this is a good deal for a very capable GoPro housing. In my opinion, the full retail price of $53.19 would put it in competition with more full-featured cases from Neewer and Smallrig.

My Hero 10 Black usually lives with a silicone case on it, but when I'm using it in more extreme situations where the risk of damage is greater, there's no better option than a metal cage.This aluminium case also includes a 52mm UV filter and cover, which can provide additional protection when it's in use or in storage.The back part of the flame slides off, which allows you to insert the GoPro with relative ease. Getting it out isn't as easy, but doable.My GoPro went into the case without any issues when it had the stock battery cover on it.However, one of my battery covers, which has an opening to allow for charging, won't fit the case. I do have another similar battery cover that doesn't stick out so much, and that works fine. Your mileage will vary if you've got a third-party battery cover.Once the GoPro is installed, it feels incredibly secure from drops and other impacts, like falling off a moving vehicle.This case will not protect the camera from sharp impact to the front or rear screen.There are two caveats that I can see:The first is the weight. This case is quite heavy, and the combined weight of the case plus camera can be excessive if you plan to use it on your body.The second concern I have is with the metal mount legs. If you have a receiving mount that's also metal, you may not be able to tighten things down properly. Yes, it's more durable than plastic, but not nearly as easy to secure the position of the mount. This shouldn't be as much of an issue if you have a standard receiving mount, rather than one with a metal adapter.Overall, I'm glad this option exists for those of us who really go extreme with our GoPros!At the time of this review, this mount is on sale for $39.99.

This is a great GoPro cage that leaves all assets accessible. It is quite protective of the camera and it gives me peace of mind when I'm out in the field. The price is great.

What a nice surprise! This is a well thought out, Quality Built Protective device for the GoPro Camera Series. The FIFIELD Case Protector really protects the Camera very well, it included a nice Lense Cap that works just as well - I couldn't be happier with the product! Both Buttons are easily reached with the Protective Case installed, as is the Screen, Battery & SD Card Door.I gave the FIFIELD Aluminum Protective Case for GoPro Hero a Full Five Star Rating Across the Board. It is Durable, Easy to Use, Reliable, and very Affordable to name a few of them. This Protective Case would make a wonderful Gift Also.
