Wanted a 1/2 bottle decanter as I'm the only red drink at home and like to spread a bottle over 2 nights. Have owned this for 2 years now and think it is fantastic.It looks good. I think the shape helps wine aeration but nothing special. If I'm decanting into a full bottle decanter I always flip the wine upside down into the neck of the decanter and I think that will do as good a job.I think it's made of polycarbonate - it's very light and when I dropped it on the kitchen floor and it just bounced around.This may not be for everyone - polycarbonate doesn't have the feel of glass - but for an everyday (ok - "mostday" :-} ) decanter it's great. The base looks like a plated metal and polycarbonate doesn't like the dishwasher so I've always just given it a thorough rinsing out. This has been absolutely fine as I don't leave it empty long enough for dry residues to form.Would immediately replace if I somehow break it. One of my most used kitchen accessories!

L'ho acquistato perche' avevo bisogno di un decanter da ml.375 quindi la meta' di una normale bottiglia.Il decanter si presenta bene come da fotografia ed effettivamente il design e' ricercato ed ad effetto e secondo me e' perfetto per chi ama gustare un buon vino invecchiato senza necessariamente dover far decantare una bottiglia intera.Un po' caruccio per un vetro curvato ma tutto sommato la finitura in acciao sottostante e la splendida curvatura del vetro giustificano appieno il prezzo.Consigliato.(esiste su Amazon anche la versione da ml.750)
