Hey this worked great on my unisaw, (3hp 14 amp), after market starters i saw people recommending were way too many amps, the switches i saw on forums and others had way too high of overload settings, the overload is there to protect the motor. I did notice on this and part of it was at the same time i relocated my switch to the left side of the saw, i leaned over one time and my body activated the saw...(which is odd as i don't lean left lol). Anyways just be careful , all of these should have a paddle switch. On longevity no idea....i'm sure given mag starters are 100+ there could be some durability but my saw isn't used every day.
