I've just installed this on an inexpensive Temu guitar that I use primarily for fingerpicking. Having the built-in mic in addition to the piezo pickup helps to give warmth to the sound, though I agree with other reviewers that it would have been nice to have a separate volume control for the piezo, as well as the mic. Never mind. It's lightweight, works well, and just required one large hole in place of the endpin, for the output jack. I'm just using a small electric guitar amp, though it's got a sweepable midrange control that helps a lot. The adhesive bits supplied are top-quality 3M, and extras are supplied for the mic and control module. Make sure you've got them where you want them, because they are seriously stuck there. And since no instructions or diagrams are supplied, I found it useful to print out a screen shot of the installation photo in the product listing. I chose to mount the flexible piezo directly under the saddle, having drilled a 3mm hole underneath the saddle so I could pull it through. Works fine.

First off. I have LR Baggs systems in 2 other guitars. One is Lyric and other is Anthem. This system is a cheap option it the LR Baggs Anthem system. The expansive brand name is amazing and yes its better. This is still a good system. Like the Anthem model, This has an under saddle piezo pickup and also a true mic inside under the bridge location. Now about this system... My first use I noticed this does not offer the feedback protection I'm used to with the other systems. The two controls. One changed from piezo to mic. The other is volume. There is no tone control. Make your piezo/mic blend you like and finish up on the sound board. The piezo is a bit quaky for my taste. I use mostly mic or maybe full mic. The mic only sounds good. Gives a very realistic sound of the actual guitar. PIezo is an electronic version of the guitar. The controls.. It sits flat inside so it has to go between the braces. You can see that puts it in a an odd position. The volume is almost under the 6th string. Also the volume turns the opposite of the expensive brand.Installation was easy. Tape off the area your going to drill for the strap pin. Also when drilling for the piezo pickup make sure you don't hit a brace. Get sloppy and you'll ruin a guitar fast. I used a gopro inside with a lumecube light and watched my work on my phone screen. Took some screen shots along the way. Hope they help you. You can also check out the build of your guitar that way. My Dean St. Augustine dreadnough is a lower end guitar. I alsp plan for this guitar to make trips to camp sites and came fires. I bought a low end guitar and installed a cheaper system for this reason.Although, I have played this guitar at church the past few weeks. Looks good, Sounds good, Plays good. I also use a 5.8mhz transmitter bug. Lekatos brand. I tried a 2.4mhz and I get a weird noise. FYI..Oh, battery. This has been installed about a month and the battery is fine. Others said the battery died over night. I've not had that issue.Yes I recommend this system unless you can afford the LR Baggs Anthem.

The installation for this pickup does require a certain amount of careful positioning while working blind with your hand inside the soundhole and it might be frustrating for the inexperienced. The sound is okay. It doesn't rival the units which cost 5 times more, but for the price it's a good bargain.
