After 21 years of “white plastic” light switch and plug covers, it finally dawned on me that it was time for me to replace our wall plates with more elegant and stylish stuff…my husband doesn’t mind the plastic stuff…I didn’t “mind” for 21 years…now I do! LOL 😂I needed and bought 2x double toggle , 2x decor, 1x duplex wall plates in our master bedroom bath.I love these! It goes perfectly with our master bath fixtures.The price could be better and I definitely dislike the limited buying options as far as single units go.I had to return the double toggle plates (put on a replacement order) as it came with very dull and rough finish compared to the decor and duplex plates.So 1-star deduction for lack of single unit buying options and because both double toggle plates came with super dull and rough finish. Bummer!The finish on these plates is very smooth and shiny…so I hope the replacement double toggle plates will have just as beautiful finish as these do!These were easy to install (not that I ever had any issues installing wall plates!) and it feels very sturdy.At the same time, these aren’t as heavy as some of the metal wall plates I got for other rooms.I actually prefer a bit ‘less heavy’ wall plates but not that these are “light”!As far as I’m concerned, it’s perfect but since I just got them, I can’t give any feedback on longevity.I can only update this review in case these don’t hold up on the long run…The screws that came with these are better than most screws that I’ve been getting with wall plates in oil rubbed bronze finish.I still had to be very careful while installing these. The paint over the screws can definitely peel just by applying a bit more force on the screw driver, especially as we’re tightening it towards the end. Screwdriver mishaps can definitely mess up the screw head finish but again, I’m pretty happy that this manufacturer did a better job on these screws than the screws I got with other oil rubbed bronze wall plates.Fingers crossed for beautiful finish double toggle plates replacement order, which should arrive tomorrow!If the double toggle come in acceptable shape, I’ll add more “before & after” pictures here.Super easy “next business day UPS pick up return”. I’m very impressed! I got used to going to Kohl’s to take our Amazon returns over there but decided that I wanted to try UPS pick up.Provided it’s a business day, UPS definitely comes the very next day!!!Bonus: we don’t even need to print or show the return label.In my first return this week, I forgot to tape the small box (a 25-pack cabinet pulls) and the UPS carrier said “No problem. I have tape in the truck”.Talk about great customer service!Forget about $5 Kohl’s cash! I’m “sold” on UPS pick up!! 😂Can’t beat Amazon that way, that’s for sure!Please see my pictures here and know that some are “before and after” montages of my actual pictures. The difference in wall color is just due lighting…but those are the same bathroom walls.I do recommend these!UPDATE: I received the replacement 2-toggle plates and unfortunately, the finish on it is NOT as shiny and smooth as it is in the rest of the plates that I got (duplex and “single gang”/decor). Bummer! That’s too bad! I even tried polishing with English Oil…went on YouTube to try to find ways of improving the shine on oil rubbed bronze fixtures. Nothing that I tried worked…and I refuse to buy expensive “car wax and lubes” just to try fixing a brand new metal wall plate!I added the pictures of the 2-toggle light switch plate, which is next to the single duplex plate under my magnifying mirror.It’s hard to notice the difference in finish shine and smoothness through my pictures here but if you look closely, especially the pictures that I took from a side angle, you might be able to notice it. It’s more difficult to notice the difference by looking at “face up front angle”I used a furniture marker (walnut shade) to cover up some of the screw heads that got some small dents while I was installing the plates.I still recommend these beautiful plates but am highly disappointed that the 2-toggle plates came with rather dull and rough finish. The set comes with two of these, which is what I needed. However, I wish this seller would offer options for us to purchase these plates in single units. I simply hate this type of “forceful bulk marketing”!Five stars for the single duplex and ‘gang’ covers.Two stars for the 2-toggle light switch plate.I’ve ordered 1-toggle light switch plates and will update this review once it arrives and after I install it.
