The greatest thing about this blade stabilizer is that it really does work! I am using it on a 10" Compound Miter Sliding Arm Miter Saw and have a 60 tooth Freud blade on it and have found the ringing noise associated in particular with this blade is considerably lessened and also I no longer have the crosscut tearout that occasionally occurs. The result is a near perfect crosscut with sharp definition on miter/compound miter/bevel cuts. Great product!

When your eye is keen enough to discern table saw blade harmonics in the cut quality, it's time to try a stabilizer.The 3-1/2" diameter is the attraction in this Freud for me. I've used the 4" and larger dampeners but prefer the extra blade length these provide. I can't see any cut variation between this Freud 3-1/2" and larger diameter dampeners.As a note, stiffeners will shift the blade center. They may not fir the saw OEM insert cutout. I didn't have that problem with the fit on my old retired table saw. I do on the newer commercial saw. To ensure the highest vacuum draw, I use MDF zero-clearance inserts for various dado stacks and thick kerf blade set-ups. One might consider the zero-clearance insert if you run into a saw insert OEM mismatch.Was my review helpful? Click "Helpful" and let me know. These stabilizers solved the issue of not enough threads to keep the arbor nut tight when using a thin kerf blade. Thick enough, and low enough height not to interfere with deep blade cuts. Great solution.
