My son calls this his “tornado suit” because it would keep you dry in one! We live in a very rainy place and he likes that he can keep it rolled up in his backpack and it doesn’t take up a lot of space.I feel like the quality is superior, and I’ll be able to save it for my younger children.

I got these in a small for my 5 year old girl. The pants are a bit too big but useable, however the jacket is huuge. I expected that though, so I'll be hanging on to these till she grows a bit more. They are obviously designed to go over regular clothes so I won't have to wait long.The material is kind of hard to describe - it feels like a stiff papery windbreaker. I don't think it will rip, especially since I'm not using these in overly harsh conditions. It doesn't look like much but I ran both pieces under the kitchen sink with my arm in them for a good five minutes and my arms were dry as a bone. The outside material was damp to the touch for a good while after but the inside never was. I can't vouch for how well they hold up tramping through the woods but they are definitely gonna keep a kid dry in a rainstorm on the way to/from school. They don't look all that warm but I haven't tested them outside and I do think they would be worn over something warm enough anyway. I like that cuffs on the jacket and pants are ribbed so they stay in place even if they are too big. The pants are elastic waist with a drawstring too. The jacket snaps shut over a zipper. The hood it's a really good size, large enough to shield the front of the head a bit or cover a hat underneath. The only drawbacks I see are that neither the pants or jacket have pockets, and the hood of the jacket doesn't have a drawstring- I can see it blowing off in heavier wind. Overall I really like then and I have been looking at the adult sizes for myself.
