Yes there is a gap behind the back seats……if you don’t want the gap spend $249.99 (minimum) at the dealer. For the price I paid less than $85, including tax, this is great!

This retractable cover fits my 2024 CX-5 perfectly. It was very easy to install, looks great and performs exactly as you’d expect it to. I’ve only had it a couple of months, so I can’t speak to its durability, but it appears to be very well constructed with quality materials. I love that it provides me with the added security of keeping prying eyes away from items stored inside my car.I strongly recommend this product.

This cargo cover is awesome. Looks great and clipped right in. Fits snug, as expected and expands and contracts just as it should. This is all around 5 stars and exactly what I was hoping it would be.
