It takes forever to dry because of the plastic material it has inside, I'm not looking forward to the next time I have to wash it. The installation was difficult since the mattress I have is heavy and it's difficult to find the top side of the protector, It took me and my husband a long while to put it on. It looks like a good quality material, except for the Velcro, I don't expect that to last long. The zipper closes all the way easily. The protector is warm in summer, even with cool bed sheets on top. At first it's noisy, but you get used to it

I purchased this cover as a backup plan to protect our new queen sized-firm Tempurpedic foam mattress. The five sided or top matress protector we bought from the mattress store was a nightmare to keep on the matress due to the plastic under lining of the protector - slides off the polyester fabric of matress constantly and the adjustable bed base serves as a catalpult! Well I was pleasantly surprised: The protector (six sided, full matress encasement, queen size) fits like a glove. The cover does have a plastic lining (more rubber than plastic), but is made of a nice thick polyester weave fabric with a Terri cloth like fabric on top - prevents sheets from sliding-provides grip. The zipper has small teeth and has a reinforced seam all around with secure Velcro closure on end (nothing is getting through this zipper). We have tried the adjusting the base of the bed and the sheets stay securely on the bed and do not shift. There is no air bubbles, no noise of plastic sheets and no movement of fabric underneath. Caution is warranted to pay attention to the thickness of your matress (measure!), as this cover fits pretty snug. I ordered the 12-15 size, and the cover fits, but with little room to spare. Overall, great product and quality, would recommend and buy again.

I had a previous encasement on my mattress that was very tight and because of that the zipper broke a while ago and there were some rips on the seams. I finally had to get rid of it due to some liquid getting on it, and after reading reviews on similar products settled on this one. I have a 14 1/2' queen size mattress (a firm mattress with a pillow top that has crushed a bit, so I believe it was 15" but doesn't really go that high anymore) and bought the 12-15" size. My husband put it on (I'm pregnant so I can't battle the huge mattress) and he said it was a dream to put on. The last one we had was so tight that it took four people to slide it on; with this one he put in on by himself. He said there was still some room left over as far as the fit, and the zipper is long enough that it allows the encasement to go on easily. He first washed and dried it at the laundromat (washed in warm water, dried at the lowest setting because of the waterproof layer) and it came out just fine. With the sheets on I can tell it's a bit loose; with the previous one (of a different brand) the sheets would balloon a bit and there were no wrinkles because of the tight fit. Now, the sheets do wrinkle a bit but it feels more comfortable. I also find that my husband doesn't sweat up the sheets as much because this one seems to actually let the air through so it's not too hot. The seams are very tight and the zipper is also very secure, so I think it should be a good barrier against bedbugs. As far as dust mites, I feel like I've been sleeping better since I've had it (being pregnant I don't sleep well anyway so I'm not so sure). It has the waterproof casing which I found does work because I also have a waterproof cover underneath this encasement (which I had with the old one) and when some liquid spilled on the mattress very little went through the waterproof layer (it was quite a bit of liquid). I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I bought the SafeRest box spring and mattress encasements as a preventive measure, as my husband travels for work to multiple cities and states every single week. He stays at numerous different hotels and recently got bitten by bedbugs at one. We made sure he didn't bring any back, but I got the encasements just in case in the future.The mattress encasement zips on 2 sides of the mattress, and was fairly easy to install. The sides and the bottom are made of a tightly-knit plastic/nylon-like material, and the top side is made of a soft terry that's completely silent when you roll over in your sleep. I put a fitted sheet over the encasement, and you basically can't tell that there's even a cover under the sheet (but I use a firm mattress, so it might be different on softer mattresses in the way they sink etc). It also does not get any hotter since the terry-like fabric allows air flow--believe me, my husband and I are pretty sensitive to heat and would have noticed if otherwise. You can tell that this encasement is pretty tight-knit and holes-free because my mattress is only 12 inches tall and so the room left in the encasement created a giant air bubble after we put it on, and it took me and my husband laying down and doing snow angels on the mattress for a few minutes to get all the air out of there before we put the sheet over it.I have not tested the waterproof-ness of these cases, as we don't eat or drink on the bed, but because the top of the cover is terry with a smoother lining similar to the other sides of the encasement, it looks like it can at least absorb small amounts of liquids before it even reaches your mattress.I also purchased the pillow covers which are great, and with all the encasements, I have noticed that my sinuses feel better when I wake up in the morning too, which is definitely a plus.I know this is a hefty investment, but I would definitely recommend this to anyone for the peace of mind it brings and the hypoallergenic perks. I have researched all of the available products like this on amazon and other websites, but this brand seems to be the one that brings the quality with the value. I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchases and sleeping much better at night knowing that we're protected.
