One strip broke the day we got it. Stains very easily and sanding doesn’t remove it. Regret this purchase.

I needed something different for drying the dishes without the hassle of the standard dish racks. I wanted something that saved space and this drying mat does the trick without excess water lying stagnant. It dries quickly and highly absorbing. I love that when not in use you can fold and store it.

I got these for my 3 Dog's water bowls. They absorb water well and dry fast. The mat is 15"x24" in size. I no longer have water and slobber all over my floor. The Diatomite slats are attached to a polyethylene backing sheet. I just started using this so I am not sure how the plastic backing will affect the mat long term. My only concern is water getting under the mat and not drying, causing mold/mildew, so I will have to keep an eye on it. If you are getting this for drying dishes and glassware, I don't think that would be an issue. They do provide a piece of sandpaper to sand out any stains that might get in the stone. Also included is an anti slip mat, (think cabinet liner material) which should help with airflow underneath. Overall this is a nice mat.

I never thought to get a stone mat for the dishes but this works great. My current cloth mat gets really dirty and moldy quite often. I have 3 that I rotate and they always get so gross. This one simply absorbs the water as I put the dishes and then it evaporates very quickly. I feel that it is much more sanitary than the cloth mats that take forever to dry, especially when I am always adding more dishes to it.You can also use this as a heat mat to put hot pots on. It is very versatile.
