I think the thickness is perfect. My single complaint is how hard it is to put on - nothing at all wrong with the cover - but my cage is taller than me which makes it somewhat difficult. Takes me 5 minutes just to get it over properly. Nevertheless, I love the cover itself. Perfect length for my cage.

I really didn't think I would be able to find a cage cover for my bird's cage. Her cage has a playpen top. I looked at s lot of covers and read a lot of reviews. I decided on this cover and I couldn't be happier! It does a great job at blocking out light. It's easier to put on the cage too. Now, I just wonder why I waited so long. I did measure my cage to be sure it would fit. A great cage cover at a great price!

I can't say enough good things about this product! I had a problem getting my conures to go to sleep at night... their cages are huge, and I was trying to cover them with blankets. Light was getting in, and they were throwing a fit at bedtime for about an hour. This product completely covers the cages, all the way down to the floor, and blocks about 95% of the light. It almost velcros itself closed when you put down the front part of the cover. My conures, now go to sleep, without fit throwing, within about 15 minutes, and I can still have the lights on in the room. Many, many thanks to the makers of this product! You've given me the ability to stay up past 7 PM, and have the lights on... my conures are asleep, thanks to your covers. I recommend this product!!!!!

Are you trying to live on the cheap and throw a blanket over your bird cage? This is a much better alternative. A real bird cage cover, that actually fits, is of good quality and is a decent price. This is the nicest cover I have seen and almost fits my cage exactly. It is a good weight, not flimsy or fly away. It is DARK and that means my birds get the 12 hours sleep they require. Flying bird seed and feathers do not stick to it. I have only had it a short time but so far, I am loving it and birds are as well! Buy with confidence!

I recently purchased a new cage for my 22 year old cockatiel. The previous covers were just a mix of towels and a light blanket. This cover is perfect, it’s streamlined the process of putting him to bed at 4:30 ( yes he is an early bird ) . It could accommodate a wider cage but I just take up the slack with a wooden clothespin. The cover is beautifully tailored with two handles at the top to assist moving it on and off the cage. I peaked inside before I sealed up the Velcro seam and it is black in there ! That is important because he goes to bed before the sun goes down and doesn’t want to get up until around 8am. The fabric is really nice quality and breathable. I love it. This cover accommodates his cage which is 18 inches wide and 54 inches in height to the top of his play gym .
