We purchased this to help my son catch pop-flies and it works just how we wanted it. It is also easy for anyone to use, grandpa, dad, brothers and myself.

These Fungo bats are great during practice - it doesn't take as much energy to keep on hitting grounders and popups for the kids. Obviously, these do not replace real bats during practices completely. The fielders have to get used to the sound and motion of the bat so they can react faster - these will not help with that. But for constant fielding repetitions, I find these much easier to handle than a real bat - so I can hit the balls to two different areas of the field very quickly to keep kids moving.Comparing these to the more popular Accubats - these are lighter than Accubats. So I can handle the racket better than an Accubat but maybe I have to hit the ball with a bit more force to get it moving. Not sure if it's because these are lighter or the elastic is different. The grip is different too - Accubats have a simple foam grip. These have a tennis racket like grip with a rolled grip tape. The wooden end piece fell out of mine though like one other review I've seen - I just crazy glued it back in and it hasn't fallen out since. Accubat protects the elastic by weaving it through a inner plastic holes. This one just wraps it around a metal frame so when you have it in your back, the elastic around the metal frame is constantly rubbing against other things in your bag. So maybe in the long run, Accubat might be better at protecting the elastic? Not sure yet. In theory though, these racket will be easier to repair when the elastic goes bad - I can just re-wrap it around the frame. When Accubat's plastic hole breaks...there isn't much you can do. I've been using this once a week for few months now and it's still holding up okay. I think the elastic has gotten a bit looser but that's to be expected. Overall, I really like these and recommend it.

Broke after 10 minutes of grounders. An old used tennis racket would hold up longer.

In less than 1 week, actually 2 days at practice hitting pop flies to outfielders less than 30mins/day, it is broken. Appears to be made out of pot metal unable to reweld or fix it. Pretty sad for $76. Such a waste. Do not waste your money. Will use a bat from now on. Absolutely disappointed. I want my money back.

I bought this fungo racket for my high school baseball team. It's great for fielding practice because it's lightweight and easy to swing. The racket is made of high-quality materials and it's very durable. We have been using it for several weeks now and it's still in great condition.I would definitely recommend this fungo racket to anyone who is looking for a great way to conduct fielding practice to improve baseball skills.
