Was just looking for something compact to bring on quick trip rather all my gear and this is perfect. It actually fit my galaxy ultra with a metal case. Very nice build quality and a built in shuttle options is nice. In fact that this could turn into a tripodn it's awesome. For the price this itembis a must buy.

This makes an ideal travel tripod for phones - packs up into a very compact and nice-feeling little pod and even comes with a clip and carabiner.The only deduction is due to the relatively short range of telescoping if you want to use the "selfie stick" feature. The pictures make it look like about 2.5 phone lengths (12-15"). In reality, the maximum length of the telescoping portion is 7.5"The included remote is great however. With no app required, it pairs to your phone via bluetooth and activates your "volume up" button, which most phones can accept as a camera shutter button. Good design!

To be fair, I should have read the details better and checked the actual height because it does notate that the height ranges from 220mm to 265mm (around 8-10 inches high). I really just went off the pictures and thought this stand would be much taller. I thought I could stand it on the ground and it would be at least 4 or 5 ft. I was hoping to use it on vacation so my family and I could stand it up and have our pictures taken in front of a beautiful view or a landmark, but it will not be high enough to do that. Honestly not sure what I’ll use it for now…maybe just close up pics or a regular selfie-stick. The video does describe it as a DESKTOP tripod, but the description says “mini”, so it is definitely VERY mini! If that is what you’re looking for, you’ll probably be happy. If I had watched the video first though, I would not have got this.

This selfie and camera stand is very well made for the price. It’s compact, small, lightweight, and came nicely packaged. The tripod or selfie stick doesn’t extend very high, so when placed on the ground, it tends to angle upward toward the subject. It rotates easily and holds the smartphone securely in place. My only concern is that the app used to control the remote button isn’t from a well-known developer. Could the software be a security risk for the smartphone user, I have other units like this that didn't need a 3rd party app to use the picture button.
