Most hats curve up from the brim to the crown at an angle but this strip of cloth has no give to it so if you try to keep it tight at the top, the bottom of the band doesn't fit to the base of the crown. If you try to keep it tight at the base of the crown, the top of the band is loose. I've tried cutting the seam where the band connects and then using fabric glue to keep it tight but that actually requires the band to have been cut at an angle all the way around or else the band will be narrower where it rejoins.Skip this hat band and buy one that is at least a little stretchable - which this one isn't.Also, if you DO decide to buy this band, know that the sizing recommendations aren't all that accurate. My head circumference was just 1/8" over a size (per the item's sizing chart) and the instructions suggested I buy the next size up. Wrong. I didn't and had I done so the band would have been waaaaaay too large.Just FYI.

Piece of crap. Thin material no stretch in the fabric and sizing is not correct. Bought according to chart as usual Amazon allows crappy size charts. Paid @ 18 for this piece junk which is being sent back. You can literally make this for 3 bucks. Which is what I will do. Plus it got some tiny pin holes in it. Someone probably already had this and tried to attach it to their hat with pins because it did not fit and sent it back. Wouldn’t surprise me as I have received no less than 3 previously used items lately. 2 even had animal hair on it! Amazon is slipping….
