This Garmin cable has the Micro-USB connector required for this device. I have not had much success with non-Garmin data cables. A bit pricey but worth it if you want a consistent charger/data transfer cable. Be wary when ordering as some of the sellers seem confuse on whether the end is a Micro or Mini USB. I got one that was a Mini when advertised as Micro.

lost the original Garmin USB cord and when I went to update my Garmin Maps I tried using a USB cord I had from another device. My computer would not recognize my Garmin. So I ordered the Garmin cord and my computer recognized my Garmin immediately.

Map and SW update of Garmin NueviCam-LM is fully functional with this cable and the Garmin Express tool. The cable's micro USB-B connector fits well.There is one caveat though which possibly causes the device not to go into connectivity mode: the Nuevi *must* be fully charged before attempting to update SW or maps; failure to do so will show the device as "not connected". Also, after starting up the Garmin Express tool, and then attaching the cable one needs to wait for a minute until the device goes into connected mode.Regards - Rob
