2nd time using these on my truck.. they work better hose clamps. Only down side its 1 time use. My whole cooling system has new stuff so I don't plan on needing to remove them soon

We build High end hot rods & show cars. We use shrink clamps on all or our restomods. They have a really clean look and work great.

Can't say enough about how awesome this thing is. I did a custom radiator hose for my BMW e30 as I used a different sized radiator to clean up my engine bay. I had to use a metal splice and shorten the original hose. I ended up using two of these hose clamps and have had zero leaks whatsovever. Perfect for that application. I wouldn't want to put them on places that might need your hoses to come off very frequently though.

My wife's Infiniti G35 started to slowly leak from the radiator side upper hose. Apparently this is a common problem for this particular car. Dealership quoted me a little over $100 to fix it. Yes, I'm not surprised at the ridiculous quote for something that takes 20 minutes and $15 to replace (assuming you replace the hose too)I came across this hose clamps on a random forum. I was skeptical but at $2.50, hell why not? I needed to buy a heat gun for other projects anyways (extra $20).These clamps fit rather snug on the coolant hose and made getting the hose on the radiator difficult. a little nervous since the OEM radiators are all plastic. Managed to get it on and took the heat gun to both clamps. I didn't notice any change in the physical shape of the clamp, just discolorations in different spots (jet black to dark gray). I still wasn't convinced this was going to work. I kept the heat on it, moving around to avoid melting. After a little bit, I decided to allow the clamps to cool. Once cooled, I grabbed the clamps and burnt my hand. I waited a little longer. Then I returned to twist the hose and clamps to make sure it was sealed. Confident it was, I poured the coolant back in and drove around for a bit. No leaks. It has been about 3 weeks now with temperatures dipping below freezing and getting up 60 degrees (that's Oregon for you). I've been checking on a regular basis but now I'm certain these did the job.I admit, these were more expensive than your typical worm clamps but still inexpensive and the jet black band looks a lot better than the everyday galvanized-looking steel worm clamp (if you care about such things).
