I own a shop and was looking for a simple and effective snap ring plier set. These filled the void.I have always liked the "double x" set up. I have had / used / and abused several different brand name sets, before trying these. The most common problem for me is overall durability, and strength. I tend to abuse tools and make them work for my needs for better or worse. I do a lot of wheel bearing jobs, and these snap rings can be difficult due to corrosion, rust, etc. So far these pliers have held up well. I don't expect the tips to last forever, but they seem sturdy and have performed well. These may not be suitable for heavy equipment , but if you do that work you should know what your needs are and buy accordingly.
