Solar isn’t the best. I do enjoy the lights and the durability. Battery life could be better.

These are very well made the case is durable. The light is perfect- I stayed in a hotel room for a week and ran these along the headboard, gave a nice little ambient light without running the harsh hotel lights. Also use them to decorate inside my car during Christmas. The battery has a long life. I haven’t tested using the solar feature to charge anything.

Let me start of by saying that in general i find string lights tacky and unappealing,However on an impulse while waiting out a multi-day power outage, i went looking for something to add a little ambiance to car camping, and found these. When they arrived i set them up turned off the lights and played with the remote to see how i felt about them.All in all i like them, my wife really likes them, and the in-laws want a couple of sets for themselves. The solar charger works even with indoor lights, nice.The lights unwind and rewind cleanly, very easy to use. The various settings for lights are very pleasant and not tacky at all. I really don't like multi-colored lights, but these are mellow and very warm. After running it for an hour, the string is only slightly warm, it does not tangle easily, but is easy to wrap around posts etc to keep it in place without fasteners.The only complaint i have about this unit is that there is no way to know what the current charge level is for the internal battery. It would be nice if there was a way to display it, even if it was just a crude 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, Full led display.Basically for the money (especially with the coupon etc) these are a great buy, and very useful for remote or off grid applications. They are even good for simple impromptu garden setups. And as they are fairly waterproof they would be easy to use on a boat, and self charging.Surprisingly happy with the purchase.

Good price for a good product and you get it all. Solar powered, rechargeable, does not require batteries, has a remote control, can be used as a string light or a lantern or both, can be white or colored or both, multiple flashing and solid options, reels in and out for storage and has a hanging handle. I am pleased with this products design and features. I used it for our elf on the shelf shenanigans and plan to use them for camping.
