GHU New AC14B8K Battery Compatible with AcerMy OEM Acer R5 battery lasted 6 years. This replacement was easy, replacement well documented on Youtube, and the new battery runs pleasantly longer.The bottom of the laptop case separates easily with a little prying after you remove the dozen tiny screws. The battery is then obvious. Remove two screws at the sides of the battery, tug the plug loose, tilt the battery up by the plug edge and slip it out, reversing with the new.Check the battery plug again before you put the bottom back on. In my case, the last thing I did was rearranging the battery wires. I didn’t notice I’d pulled the plug partly loose.Doesn’t work that way. Removed back, pushed plug in, works great.

I had an old Acer laptop that wouldn't power on or charge at all. This 100% did the trick in getting it back up and running. It was a little work getting the laptop open, but after unscrewing the back plate and using a small plastic prying tool I was able to get it open. Removing the old battery was easy enough after removing the small ribbon cable and the two screws holding the battery in place. Very highly recommend.

I got this battery for an Acer C910 Chromebook that I've converted to run Linux Mint. It fits perfectly - definitely made for this model computer.I'm very cautious giving praise to "no name" replacement batteries for laptops, having had bad experiences where they didn't last long and completely died within a couple of months. So I am going to revisit this review after some more runtime, but for now this battery seems to be (almost) the real deal.In my photos we can see that just after installing, it took about 1.5 hours to charge from ~10% to 100%. However the end of the charging curve goes weird - tapering down in rate to about 76%, then suddenly jumping up to 100% charge. That looks fishy to my.However, I then unplugged the charger and used the laptop to process live radio (FT8) data using the WSJT-X app. The battery held up pretty well, steadily discharging to about 72% over 3 hours. Then I just let the screen go to sleep and it discharged to about 18% over the next ~6 hours (I'm missing a bit of time in my pics).Overall I'm pretty pleased with this battery for now. If it continues to perform this well, I may bump my rating to 5 stars, but time will tell.

I got this to replace the battery in my Acer Predator Helios 300. Though this model isn’t listed, the part number matched the one in my laptop. The listing detailed a higher Wh rating than my current one, which would indicate that the battery would last longer than stock. After removing the dozen or so screws from the bottom chassis, the clips come off and the battery is easily accessible. I removed two screws from the battery and used a plastic sludge tool to remove the battery connector. I performed the reverse process to install the battery, and within minutes I was back online. Per the recommended instructions, I charged my laptop overnight to allow for 12 hours of charging. I then ran light browser benchmarks while leaving the system on and unplugged until it drained completely, 3 times to get an initial calibration. It feels like my laptop lasts a lot longer now during lighter loads, but I still only got 1-2 hours of gaming in before needing to reach for my charger. The old battery was the original battery that came with the system, making it some 7-8 years old, and I had upgraded it with a 120Hz refresh panel. This causes the system to draw more power to both render more frames (GPU heat/power) and to drive the monitor. Overall, I would say that this battery is handling the system very well. The installation was easy, the battery appears to be of OEM quality, and fits exactly like an OEM battery. Once again, this battery is not technically listed as a supported model, but this should work great in any laptops that utilize the AC14B8K battery.I would say this battery is well worth it if you’re looking to restore the life of your laptop.
