I actually use this cord to suspend my pack from a tree at night or for convenience while getting my camp set up. It works great and has shown little to no wear. Nice piece of kit.

I'm not a climber. I never have been. Maybe one day I'll learn. However I use runners for lots of other things.I use them for securing items to my bag when on a long hike. I use them to facilitate hooking up my long hammock to trees. I use them to run through the LATCH anchor system in my SUV's cargo area to secure my dog's car harnesses in case of emergency. These have performed well for all of those. (Well I haven't had an emergency in the car).
