It does pump air and light works; aired a 14"tire from 7 lbs to 40 lbs in slightly under 5 minutes. Will do the job if you have the time to wait. But what else are you doing when you have a flat/low tire. Case and pump heads appear to be plastic, hope it holds up for usage. It will get hot at the hose pump exit hose. Instructions say to let cool 10 minutes if you run it 10 minutes. Running without connected to tire and no back pressure helps cool it slightly before storing it. Tip of plug in also will get hot. I'm sure the amps will exceed normal accessory plugs so direct to battery is definitely best. Adaptor comes with kit for direct to battery connection. Would recommend for emergency use to have along in vehicle.

It's a nice solid little compressor. The price was good. I've had it 6-7 months and use it regularly. Works fast with the double-cylinders. Old fashion guage doesn't bother me. But you need to turn the unit off to see the actual pressure reading. While its running, it reads a few lbs more than is actually in the tire. I just toggle the on/off switch when it gets close to finished. I would buy this again.

Pump seems to work fine. Inflated flat tire on my Odyssey van in a few minutes. Comparing to digital pressure gauge readout, the analog gauge seems accurate. Using the batter clips (recommended), the power cord, the attached black hose, and the coiled air hose, I can barely reach the reach the passenger side back tire on my van. The pump winds up alongside the front passenger door and you have to stretch the coiled hose almost straight to reach the tire. I will buy a 10ft Heavy Duty 12AWG corded battery clip-on to female cigarette lighter socket with an inline 30A fuse. This should eliminate the need for the coiled air hose and a much better battery connection than the rather cheaply made clip that comes with the pump. I took off one star because the storage bag, like the battery clip connector, is disappointing and somewhat cheaply made. The pump and hoses barely fits inside the bag and the zipper pull broke off the first time I tried to close the bag with the pump inside.

I liked that this compressor has dual power options according to the product description. I am not one who is super excited to get under the hood and mess with the battery, but like that that is an option with this compressor. The issue I have with this is that there is a label on the side that says it probably shouldn't be used to plug into the vehicles' outlet. Umm, if it is supposed to be able to be dual powered (plug in or attach to battery) why would they manufacture it with a known flaw that it may not work very well if plugged in? The cables seem pretty delicate and flimsy. I have successfully used it to fill my tires with air by plugging it in. But it makes me a tad concerned that they advise against plugging it into the cars' cigarette lighter style outlet. Also, there is a flashlight on the unit, but if someone wants to use it in the dark, they need a second flashlight to see the pressure gauge as it is on the top of the unit and the flashlight is on the end of the unit where the light cannot illuminate the pressure gauge. Just a few things could be improved here IMO.

I just got this delivered to fill up the tires for my Toyota Camry, instead of trying to find free air at gas stations. It was easy plugging it in to the adapter inside of my car. Make sure that the power button is off before plugging it in, or else it will start running! It took maybe a minute and less to fill up my tires from around 26 psi to 32 psi for the back tires, and from 22 psi to 35 psi for the front tires. I checked the psi with a tire gauge before hooking it up to each tire; it was exactly accurate and was the same for after adding air. I think this is one of my favorite products due to how quick and easy it was to use. I haven't used the power cables as I haven't needed to yet, but it's nice that they were included. Plus the other attachments that you can use, and orange coil extension! I didn't need to use the orange extension for a 2006 Toyota Camry, and just plugged it in on the other side. Reached easily. Would probably reach both the front and back tire for most regular sized cars easily just by switching which door you have the adapter plugged in from.
