Mower wouldn't go forward or backward. I tried replacing the belt but that didn't work. Through further inspection I found that the pulley assembly had a broken part. Bought this kit and replaced the broken part. Mower now goes forward and backward. Nice kit gives you all the parts needed.

I found out from the owner of the company who makes these that the problem with these failing is usually just stuck grass clumping tightly on the surface where there are moving parts. So before you buy this, try blasting out the top of your old unit withe compressed air (cheap, long, air hose blower attachments available here on Amazon). So replacing the unit works fine, since the new one is clean, but you probably didn't need to buy this like I did. Just Clean the top of your old one.

Worked a fit as it should . I bought this part because of no power going up a hill ,, it didn’t fix that problem. But it did work , after more looking around it was the belt that was bad unlike normal belts , this belt uses it’s sides to get grip .checked the belt an it was about a1/4 inche narrower than a new belt ,that’s what fixed the issue I was having
