After having our children, we car camp more and more often. I like to have string lights up across our camp for a nice soft ambient light at night. I would first run a rope across, then wrap the string lights around and around and around all the way down. Then, hook it up to a power bank. It was very time-consuming, but worked great! However, I didn't know there was a better option.I'm so happy I found this. It's packed with features! It's got soft lighting out of the side with the diffuser, which will be perfect for lighting a broader area, like a picnic table. A really bright led out of the back/bottom side, which is very usable if you need a lot of light. Pretty strong magnets on it, which you could use to stick it onto a camp lantern pole or car hood. It's also a power bank. And all of that is great, but then there's also string lights in it!With the hook on one end, it is very simple to wrap around something and clip it back on to itself. Then, just start pulling, attach the base on the other end, and bam, you've set up your camp string lights! Taking it down couldn't be simpler either, just wind it up! This thing is going to save me so much time! I can't wait to go camping with it!

This is a good multipurpose light, but it may suffer from trying to do too many things. The string of fairly lights on a windup reel is the best part of the light. Thirty feet of yellow LED beads, spaced 4 inches apart produces a decent amount of light. The string is long enough that you can use it to light three sides of a popup canopy. The wind-up feature really is a bonus. Otherwise, 30 feet of fairly lights could get really tangled. The top hanging loop doubles as a wind-up handle. Though it seems like it might break, it pushes all the way over (180-degrees) to make wind up really easy. The main advice I'd offer on the fairy lights is to pull out from the case gently-- it's a light wire, not 100 lb paracord. The red-green-blue function on the lights is fun for a few minutes, but the yellow lights are where this light really shines. It has a decent puck light that can be used with or without the yellow LEDs. The description says 100-200 lumens. From comparison to other lights, I would say the puck light portion is about 100 lumens, so this is one of the only LED lights that doesn't wildly overstate the light output. The magnets on the back work well enough if you have a flat steel surface available. The foldout winding lever makes a hanging loop, so you will need something that hooks through or ties to the loop to hang. The "XTE" light is a single bulb on the back of the light that's about the same as an average penlight. A penlight would be much easier to use, though. Holding and pointing this light isn't very easy and I have large hands. Someone with small hands might not be able to use it at all. In my opinion, this mode is just added so the seller can advertise a multifunction light, it doesn't add any real value. Because of that, I've downgraded my rating to four stars. It's a somewhat expensive string of fairy lights, but I think that over time the ability to roll up (and keep untangled) will pay for itself.

These camping string lights are the perfect combo of cozy and functional! The warm glow creates a super inviting atmosphere around the campsite, and they’re bright enough to be useful without being harsh. Setup is quick and easy—just string them up around your tent, RV, or canopy. The build quality feels durable, and they hold up well in outdoor conditions. Battery life is solid (or solar/USB, if applicable), making them ideal for multiple nights of use. A must-have for adding some charm to your outdoor adventures!

This string light arrives in neat packaging. The light is conveniently stored within the lamp and easily extends when needed, retracting just as easily for storage. It charges via a USB-C connection. The brightness of both the lantern and string lights is satisfactory. The price is reasonable. The light boasts a durable build and functions well for illuminating a tent or camping area. Battery life appears to be good. This is an excellent portable light.
