I love finding clothes like this for our granddaughter because I like to secretly live vicariously thru her wardrobe! LOL At any rate, these shorts run a little large, as the size I chose for her are a bit loose fitting, but not a deal breaker. The elastic waistband really works with the drawstring, as sometimes the drawstring on clothing is simply a decoration, but not on these shorts. And the pockets really are pockets & not a decoration. They're made well & the inside of the fabric isn't scratchy whatsoever.
