I purchased these for my 1st grade classroom. They are perfect for little hands to investigate! Great price :)

I ordered 3 sets of these so that all students would have a hand lens during our rock unit. These work great! There are two levels of magnification, and students enjoyed using these lenses. I highly recommend!My only warning would be to make sure you think about use and storage as the lenses scratch easily. You definitely don't want to store them with anything scratchy (like rock samples), and you want to make sure that students know to take care of them.

I have tried a few different hand lens for repeated use in outdoor educational programs. Not only was this the most durable, the lens doesn't scratch up as easily as the others. Also, you can actually focus very well in detail when using the 3x or 6x, whereas others in the same price range showed objects as blurred or cloudy. which was frustrating in the field. I was thankful for the print on the handle as it allows me to find this particular hand lens quickly! lol Overall a great little hand lens for the price.

I ordered these for my daughter's birthday party. WE used them for a scavenger hunt and then they became one of the party favours. I thought these were a good deal. Seemed like good quality and the kids thought they were fun. Plus I now use one to read small writing on pill bottles ;)

These hand magnifiers are simple and inexpensive. They are sturdy and optically quite clear; the plastic is scratch resistant. The neck strap will keep it from loss in the field. The two levels of magnification are useful. The main lens is large and wide field, making it easy to use. The higher-magnification lens is less-so. I purchased mine to allow me to see algae up close for identification purposes while snorkeling. Just remember a magnifier only works in the air (not under water!). This allowed me to have one I wouldn't lose while swimming and yet could bring up a sample for the closer look I needed at the surface. The price is very reasonable. You can buy enough for a whole class under a small budget. This is exactly what many teachers need!
