After using other stud finders & needing to replace batteries I finally changed to this magnetic tool. Works extremely well & small enough to fit in my pocket. Would recommend.

Muy buen producto barato, sencillo y facil de utilizar y en muchos casos funciona mejor que los detectores electronicos, que dan muchos falsos positivos. Funciona mediante imanes extremadamente fuertes.

Tal como lo estaba buscando mi papá para hacer unas instalaciones en un muro de tablaroca. Me parecía que es un poco pequeño, pero que el imán es muy potente y pudo encontrar fácil las "vigas"

***Si lo que buscas es que funcione como detector de varillas, no servirá mucho en mi experiencia***Lo probé durante una instalación de red en un edificio en el cual, el espacio donde estabamos trabajando estaba constituido principalmente por tablaroca. Nos fué bastante util a mis compañeros y a mí, al detectar los marcos de metal dentro del muro. La parte donde está la burbuja puede girar 90° y de ese modo se puede utilizar como nivel en posición horizontal, o vertical como si fuera plomada. Estoy satisfecho y lo recomiendo ampliamente.

I work in a contruction environment where everyday I can be somewhere new and drilling in walls. My drilling is mostly for wall cabinets or support for worktops etc. Some days are easier than others. The easier days in the aspect of drilling is when the walls are solid. The other days are when the walls are not solid and I need to find a stud. This can be a right pain. They can be at 300,400 and 600mm centers away from each other. However there is no way to tell. Plus they can start anywhere, not from from the corner of the wall. And sometime the studs don't even have measurements and are just slapped in by some stupid cowboy that doesn't their head. Now I need these studs as I am hanging heavey wall cabinets and sure as hell am not going to use plasterboard fixings.The fitters that I work with don't have any sort of detectors and said that they have tried but are useless at finding studs so the only way they can find a stud is with guesswork, measuring and dril a million holes into the plasterboard (where the units are going to be) which takes time and make it look like you shot a machine gun at the wall.Seeing this I looked at digital detectors myself yet saw mixed reviews and some where incredibly expensive. That's when I can across this bad boy. I took mine in and it worked like a dream. The metal studs are so easy to find and the wooden ones are not much harder, just needs more sweeping across the wall and a bit more to check after the first find. The other fitters saw this and have had to order another two for them to. Makes the job easier, quicker and less messy for them. Can not knock it at all for the price you pay so 5 stars from me. I will still be buying a pipe and cable detector as this won't detect these and will not go by guesswork. Better safe than sorry I say. Least I won't have to pay out a lot for that type of detector.
