OEM original item, this plastic slip ring fits on the moving impeller and provides a low friction seal to increase pump performance. This is a wear item so after a while it may need replacement. My original one had started to crack and send pieces of plastic into the filter.

OEM item and it worked as it should. Fit the original pump very well and hasn’t failed in couple years now!

Bought this when I replaced the single speed motor to variable speed. Part is exact identical to the old part. Amazon for the win here since local pool store charges an unreasonable price for a piece of plastic.

Perfect fit for my Hayward Tristar 3/4hp pool pump & skimmer housing. Easy to replace. It may have been a much better quality part than original, I'm not sure as the part I removed was worn so badly it was about half the size in thickness.TIP: GASKET LUBE, A SOCKET SET & RUBBER BELT WRENCH USUALLY INTENDED FOR OIL FILTER REMOVAL is what you will need to replace this part.I removed/unscrewed the 2" pvc pipes off the skimmer housing and from there removed the 6 housing to pump bolts. Slid the skimmer housing away from the pump and removed the 2 Phillips screws from the impeller. The pvc gasket/seal is placed between the 2 halves of the impeller after sliding the 1st half off you'll find this white pvc gasket which is intended to absorb any friction created between both impeller halves as the pump runs. It's an easy fix. I knew mine was ready to be replaced as it was making a clicking noise while pump was running, which sounded like something had been caught inside the pump itself, almost like a twig or pebble. The noise was actually made by the old pvc gasket having snapped in half.PLEASE NOTE: If you appreciated this review please give it a “thumbs up/like” your helping me to continue to give honest/unbiased insight into products I’ve used and you may have questions about. Interested in a product but don't know enough about it and would like it reviewed? Please let me know and I'll see what I can do... Thank you 🙏

Not much to say here -- it's a replacement part and if yours is worn this is what you need. Replacing the wear parts in a pool pump head is a LOT cheaper than replacing the pump, and has the same effect -- you have a pump that performs exactly as a new one does!
