The color of the cross is silver. I’ve noticed when I take photos in my house something about the lighting and metal just doesn’t work out very well. I photographed several things to review that I felt the photos to accurately portray their color..I think this was meant to be geared to a guy, but I got it for myself. I’m a bracelet girl. Necklaces are too hard to get on and off by myself and something that I can slide right home like this is great. Other than that, all I can say is what you see in the pictures what you got it seems to be well-made. I don’t see any praying or anything like that. I mean, I don’t know what else I could really say about it.I think this would make a nice Christmas or birthday gift for someone. If you were Sunday school teacher, it could be gifts for your kids and your class. I remember when I was very young. My aunt was my Sunday school teacher, and she got crossing necklaces for everyone. She ended up being one short so I was the one that had to go without, but that was OK I understood. The other kids loved getting the cross necklaces, however and these are at a low enough price point that that could be an option for someone if they were of a mind to do something like that I guess with it being Christmas time here I’m looking at everything as potential even if I’m not gifting it
