This worked great for my daughter with her braces! She had to get used to it as the size was a bit big for her mouth. Now it fits comfortably without complaint during her games.

My 8 year old daughter has braces and a palette expander and I purchased this because of the reviews indicating that it worked for others in a similar position. It looks to be great quality but wouldn't stay up at all. I judged it to be due to the expander in the back so tried to cut out around it with no luck. Finally tried to cut it down and that wasn't definitely the wrong move. Bummer.
