Birthday present for a grand daughter that is impressed by rocks. Quiet and really smooths small stones. This will only work with stones 1.5” and smaller.

Most rock tumblers seem to be pretty similar but this one has something those others don't and it makes a big difference. It has that cover over the tumbler drum and that helps quiet this tumbler. If you've never used a tumbler, they can be pretty noisy so any dampening of that noise is a big plus! After tumbling rocks for a month, believe me, you'll appreciate any noise reduction you can find.

Still too noisy to keep in the house but out in the garage it's no problem. I've done 3 sessions of polishing glass and it's easy to use and works great.

I would rate this a 4.5. It's quiet, does what it is supposed to do and doesn't leak. It's been alot of fun for the kids. However the belt will break, which is not hard to fix,...except no information is provided on replacement belts. They send a single replacement, but when it breaks I will have to experiment to find a comparable replacement.

The item is LOUD! The item comes with only two tumbler belts which broke right after the first week of using the item. During the second polishing phase the motor starting running hot and melted the second tumbler belt! There's no number to call for extra tumbler belts either! Full refund please!
