The magnets on this are powerful. Good strong hold. The hinges are stable and hold the phone up plenty well, but the metal around them is pretty weak, very thin. It's going to split real fast.

Does what it’s supposed to do. The magnet is super strong so you don’t have to worry much about your phone dropping. There is a wide range for you to adjust to any angle you may need

Double magnetism! I have an iPhone 15 MagSafe case with a built in folding ring/stand to which this mount attaches without issue, but can feel a bit tenuous at times (this is expected). I suspect it would connect much more solidly to the bare phone, or a simpler MagSafe case - that said, I've had no issue with attaching my phone at precarious angles to the metal equipment at the gym. The magnets are quite strong.One of the things I really like about this mount is that, on a flat surface, the phone can stand completely vertically in portrait orientation, and can even point UP in landscape orientation - it's almost like having a miniature tripod, but with a round base (a 'roundpod?')I just wish it was a little more compact so I could leave it on my phone all the time. As it is, I just carry it with me and use it as needed, however, there have been times when I wished I hadn't forgotten to bring it.

this thing is actually a sleeper hit for me. i didn’t expect to like it so much that i don’t want to take it off my phone.it grips the phone securely without making it impossible to take off the surface or remove your phone.but what i really love is how its multifunctional. it allows me to set up my phone in any position as a stand or mount to all different kinds of surfaces.its robust metal which is a huge plus and while it does take up a little extra space in my pocket, i can live with it for now.they included some metal rings with 3m stick on the back so you can have a quick connect to your car or wall or whatever which is a nice bonus.and it kind of does the function of a pop socket so it makes taking photos and videos easier and more stable.very glad i got this mount.

Update : After a few months of light use, I’m updating to let people know that the center part broke after trying to release the magnetic hold from a locker. I believe this was precipitated by the roll pin coming out from the side that broke. If you look at the attached pic to the right of where you see the break, there is no roll pin present. Going down from there, you can still see it on the other end. The pin is working out when adjusting the holder. There’s nothing to prevent this from happening. I believe that as long as the pin stays in place this would not be an issue and it would not have broken. It wouldn’t take much to prevent it from happening. Just plug the pin holes after the pin is inserted. If you have one already and it hasn’t broken yet, maybe you can score the whole next to the pin or something.I really like this magnetic phone holder. It holds my phone very well for the most part. On level surfaces, it's 100% capable of holding your phone in whatever position you want. I had an issue when placing on my locker at work when I had it extended out holding my phone, the weight of the phone was enough for the magnet to let go slightly and pivot on the locker. It never has let go enough to fall but if I had a larger phone, I probably wouldn't be able to extend it on the locker. I would have to use it in more of a Z pattern. Not a deal breaker.It's lightweight and easy to carry. Gotta nicely in my pocket. I wouldn't be afraid to buy another one.It does come with a metal ring with adhesive backing to put on your phone or phone case. And one to place on the dash of your vehicle.I would have put 5 stars if the magnets were a little stronger so it wouldn't turn in vertical mounting situations but 4 stars is still worth looking at. I would buy again.
