The mag cap is fine, but only works with certain types. So research before you buy!

The reason this product is returned frequently is because of the way the description reads. It needs to be clearer as to which is for 20G and which is for 12G. You really have to RESEARCH AND READ very carefully to get the correct one. I would suggest re-writing the description

Put on my Remington 20 ga 870 express mag my grandfather passed onto me and it was a perfect fit

The 870 barrel nut has indents to receive a little spring loaded ball to lock it in place. This cap does not have those indents so you will be tightening the nut after every shot. Don’t buy it
