Exactly as expected. It was a replacement of existing skylight as the original had cracked & was about to disintegrate due to the UV from the sun.

I was impressed with this skylight. We have an Lance 1685 that had a small crack in the skylight. This replacement appears to be more durable that the original. It rests completely flat on a surface and is easy to install . Used these#8 Stainless Steel EPDM Bonded Sealing Neoprene Rubber WashersSome #8 x 1 1/4 Inch 410 Stainless Steel Self Tapping Sheet Metal Screws-Modified Truss HeadICON 12062 Skylight Rubber Butyl Sealant ( per Lance website)Lots of videos , but I would follow Lance's advice and use the 12062 sealant for best results. All of these items can be had for less.... for lesser quality. Spend a few bucks to protect your camper for many years!

The product fits 22" x 14" Skylight opening perfectly. There was no issue what so ever with the skylight, it looks great. The installation took about 4 hours, and most of that time is taken to remove the old skylight which was under a lot of sealant. I used a heat gun and some solvent to remove as much as possible. Once off, I followed the instructions on the Icon skylight website (see their install video; very useful); apply a streak of Icon sealant all along the spot for the skylight about where the screws (I had marked their spot with pen) will sit, then install the skylight, pushing on it a bit so that the sealant diffuse nicely. After I installed 1-inch screws with a drill but not tight to avoid cracking the skylight. I tighten all the screws by hand. After, you apply sealant along the edge of the skylight, then around and on the screws. I used about 60% of an Icon sealant tube for the install. The next day I added a second coat all around to make sure that it was well sealed. Also, FYI, the sealant and Skylight are made in North America , even better :) Et voila., now let’s go camping.
