If you are using this only as a usb and aux port this will work fine. However, if you have the bmw iphone/ipod adapter it will not, the factory aux/usb port also has an additional 4 pins which are in the usb port which this product does not have.

The AUX jack on my daughters Mini sounded like garbage and needed to be replaced. Fortunately, I did not have to get the name brand from BMW, this worked great. It did not come with dash tools to remove the old one (like some other options), but I already had them, so didnt feel the need to pay for more that came with a tool i didnt need. I will say that it is a VERY snug fit. I actually ended up using a file to take off a little bit of the plastic off the sides so that it would slide in easier. Works great, kid is pleased!

I was hesitant about buying this product as a replacement for the OEM part that stopped working in my 2015 Mini Cooper Countryman since it was not listed as a possible match in the description. However since the dealer sells them for $50, I decided to take a chance with this product. Thankfully, it was a perfect fit for the Countryman. Although the connectors are different from the OEM, it was easy to connect and snapped right in place. Tested and works perfect.

My aux plug in my 2012 328i was cutting in and out, the aux port was going bad. Bought this and installed it, Aux is working perfectly again

I gave it a '4' because I couldn't get the old one unplugged soo I couldn't use this new one. But I have no reason to think it wouldn't have worked for my 2008 328i convertible.
