This is an IP67 Waterproof transparent cover with gasket enclosure that has a mushroom style Stop pushbutton which can be wired either Normally Closed or Normally Open. After you push it in, you have to twist it a little for the Stop button to "reset" itself and spring back to its original position. This really cannot be used as an E-Stop pushbutton since you have to unscrew a cover to access it which takes time. The pushbutton is solid and very well marked and recognizable/visible. The screw for the cover which tightens the cover down into the gasket is a twist screw. The cover has a hinge that can be manipulated to keep it in the open position without having to hold it open to operate the button. There is a cable entry already built into the enclosure and the enclosure itself has fall off proof screw holes and 4 screws included! The listing lists this as an E Stop pushbutton but you would need to check your local regulations to ensure it could be considered an E Stop due to the extra time it would take to access it in the waterproof enclosure. Either way - I love it! It works wonderfuly!

Using this for a 12V Emergency Stop or Rapid Shutdown for rooftop solar panels. This is an NEC requirement for rooftop solar that it be placed on the outside of your home next to the meter. In the event of a fire, this is where your fire department will look for it. RSD shuts down the current in the rooftop solar to protect FD personnel.
