I rarely write Amazon reviews so I'm going out of my way to say this..I was a little hesitant to buy this remote based on the mixed reviews, but it's really really nice. Great build quality with a metal body, air mouse works perfectly, keyboard is great. The only downside is the right mouse button function is very limited on a PC. Better than I hoped 5/5*

I have 3 of these now and previously wrote a review under a different listing. I'd give it 4.5/5 overall if I could. So here is another review - see the end for a list of improvements that should be made to the next iteration of this keyboard/remote:**Look and feel**- QWERTY remotes are an odd bunch with limited availability. None of the major manufacturers seem to make a universal one and most of what is available seems to be a combination of unrefined visual design and/or cheap materials...- This v2 iPazzPort remote seems to be highest quality I could find in terms of materials. The aluminum body is well cast, and has a great finish and overall feel. The size is also just right including thickness. It feels rock solid in the hand.- I used to use the Wechip remote and while visually it looks Apple-inspired, it is made entirely of plastic with the silver plastic having started stripping and revealing a black backing after about a year of use. It looks more like a prototype while the iPazzPort one looks more like a finished product.- The button underlay areas are plastic, but it does not detract from the overall premium feel.- So it gets 5/5 here.**Front functionality**- Power button - unlike other remotes like Wechip, the power button is able to send the power off command when connected via 2.4G (and probably BT but I didn't test) as well. This means that no line of sight is necessary and no learning is necessary. I use it with a Chromecast and it works perfectly.- In comparison the Wechip failed to learn my LG TV power off command and is one of the main reasons I needed to replace it.- Mouse - it's a pretty good air mouse as far as these go.- D-pad - better than Wechip, and has a little bit deeper and more stable click, which is appreciated.- Home/Back buttons - so compared to the v1 iPazzPort remote, these are now separate. This gives one major advantage - exiting apps without having to press back multiple times, or in the cases of the worst offenders like Netflix - without having to find the Exit button and confirm.- Mute button - this is new and useful when watching content with un-skippable advertising - without it one has to lower and raise volume which is slow and error-prone. With this button, it's just a quick press. This is new compared to the v1 iPazzPort and the Wechip.- Volume buttons - so compared to the v1 iPazzPort the volume buttons are now dedicated and work as expected. The v1 version expected you to press and hold and then twist the remote in the air to change the volume - this was an error-prone process so this new version is much improved.- Pg+/Pg- buttons - what do they do, you might ask? Program up/down?! Who has programs still? No! Page Up / Page Down is what they do! I was a bit surprised, but they are useful for scrolling through lists.- Compared to App Buttons - I think this is much better than having App Buttons like on the v1 remote. On Chromecast/Google TV you can use a button remapper app and make the buttons do whatever you want. I have reprogrammed the Page Up/Down buttons for home automation purposes, for example.- IR Learning - I haven't tested this on the v2 remote, because I have had no need. Since it can properly send the on/off command to my Chromecast, that can then turn-off the TV via HDMI-CEC, I don't need to fiddle with any IR. Since I have the v1 remote, I can say that it learns IR perfectly (no problems unlike the Wechip remote).- Bluetooth/2.4G switch - one of the great benefits of this remote is that it supports both 2.4G and Bluetooth, allowing me to pair one to the TV and another to a Chromecast so I can control both with a single remote. This works well, but the switching combinations (OK+Return, Home+Return) are a bit cumbersome.- It gets 4.5/5 here.- My wishes - maybe 2 or 4 more buttons so I can reprogram them for my purposes.**Back functionality**- This is one of the wider QWERTY keyboards available on a remote and this is appreciated. The buttons are large and have a firm click which makes typing on them pleasant, given the size. The only drawback, for me at least, has to do with the large Caps lock, which pushes the second row further to the right than typical for a QWERTY keyboard. No big deal at the end of the day, but I don't need such a big Caps lock. I wish the Caps lock were more like on the Wechip remote.- The overall bigger size makes it more comfortable than either the Wechip or Rii full keyboard (which iPazzPort also had at some point).- Do you need the full keyboard with touchpad? For media consumption - no. In fact it is worse since it requires holding with two hands and also has a cheap plasticky build. What it's useful for is controlling a PC since it has more of the special keys like Super (Win/Mac) or F-keys.- Again 4.5/5**What can be improved:**- Remember whether the mouse was enabled or not. Right now if you stop using the remote for a while, it will re-enable the air mouse again when woken up. That is quite inconvenient as the D-pad OK button switch to a mouse click and if you press it, you will click where the mouse is, rather than accept the selected item (and it leads to undesired behavior). You just have to remember that the mouse may be on and check.- Instant wake up - it seems the keyboard goes to sleep after a period of inuse and then requires a few presses to wake up.- Keys - a narrower Caps lock, add Tab key, add Super key (Windows/Mac key). Fn combinations for Tab, Super also ok. The www.com key I never use, not needed.- Less important: add backlighting.Update 2025:So I've had 3 of these remotes for over a year and have experienced some failed buttons on two of them (mostly Power and OK). The company replaced my remotes with 2 new ones which I highly appreciate. They have been very responsive in terms of customer service.I also find it annoying to wake up the keyboard to be able to wake up my TV.Yet, despite all this, I still find it the best option, as I place a premium on good design and overall feel in the hand. I was offered the option to pick any other of the company's products when I had the buttons fail, and I still picked this one.

I have a multiple camera surveillance system that uses a USB mouse and keyboard to select which cameras are to be displayed. In my case, the NVR (video recorder) is in a different room from where I typically want to be, on the couch in the living room, watching the cameras on my big screen TV. I wanted a wireless mouse and keyboard to control the whole system, but a tiny one not wanting a big full size keyboard and mouse on my lap. This looked like the perfect solution. And, it is... almost The "Air Mouse" worked as well as I imagined. Point it at a camera with the on-screen cursor, click OK and it worked just great. I mean spectacularly so. Ok, I then tried the keyboard... nothing. The NVR would not take any keystrokes. I tried this on my PC and it worked as expected, so I believe the dysfunction is in my NVR software or hardware and not with this remote. And, that's ok. Pointing is 80% of what I needed and that part worked great, so I'm fine with it. I'm going to continue to research this keyboard issue and hopefully I'll resolve it. Anyway, this remote is solid and feels like a really high end tool right down to the button presses. It's attractive, rechargeable, and well, it has a full keyboard on the back. Awesome design.**Update** The company advertises that this does not work with Samsung TV's. One guess what brand my TV is. I still don't know what that would have to do with the keyboard issue on my NVR though. I'll keep researching.
