Product came used even though it looked used. Didn’t work at all so I can’t test it to give a fair review. Considering this is one of the only options for actual usb4 this was really sad to not have this work. Especially for the pricing, if you claim it’s new and I pay double when I could’ve just bought the used one for 38 dollars lower somehow I pay more and it’s still used….it was poorly taped back and there was some white chalky powder on the hub. Unacceptable for this price especially if it doesn’t even work.

Tried with multiple devices and could not get more than 1440p over USB C or HDMI. Plugging my devices directly into the monitor gave me 4k. Was also very unreliable and often needed to be unplugged and plugged in again. Ambitious product but would not purchase again.

In reality, the provided USB4 port will operate for Data transfer at the maximum speed of USB3 Gen2. Note how the cheating is indicated: they advertise USB4 but cannot claim the USB4 speed of 40Gbps, so they list the USB3 speed insteadThank to u/rayddit519 and u/SurfaceDockGuy for pointing out this at /r/UsbCHardware/s/faGbUyWgUl, I initially thought about returning one of the two hubs, then decided to keep both, but in the end, I will only keep one for video, it is really good. However, the Alt DP at 15W is not ideal either because the screen does not work at full capacity.

Bei diesem USB-C Hub kann man auch per USB-C einen Monitor anschließen. Dies wird leider nur bei sehr wenigen Modellen unterstützt und somit war die Erwartung sehr hoch. Einen Monitor kann man anschließen, dies ist sehr gut. 4k werden unterstützt, aber nicht bei 60Hz, auch nicht wenn der USB-C Stecker gedreht wird. Ich habe dies auch via HDMI getestet. Hier hat es leider auch nicht funktioniert. Getestet habe ich dies mit zwei Notebooks und einem Mac mit M1. Bei einem anderen Hub und beim direkten Anschluss werden die 4k 60Hz angezeigt. Somit geben es die Komponenten her.Vorteile- USB-C mit Bildausgabe – leider keine 4k 60Hz- Sehr gute VerarbeitungNachteile / Neutral- Keine 4k bei 60Hz- Ein weiterer USB-C oder USB-A Anschluss wäre gutDie Verarbeitung ist sehr gut. Das Gehäuse ist aus Metall und sehr stabil. Alles ist gerade und sauber verarbeitet. Die Schnittstellen sind mittig eingelassen und nehmen Stecker zuverlässig auf. Es gibt keine Störungen bei der Anzeige und ich hatte auch keine Ausfälle. Ein weiterer USB-C oder USB-A Anschluss wäre wünschenswert, damit neben einer Tastatur, auch ein Headset/Webcam angeschlossen werden kann. Aber dies ist anhand der Produktbilder klar erkennbar.Eigentlich ist dies eine tolle Lösung um via USB-C Hub auch einen Monitor anzuschließen. Leider klappt dies nicht bei 4k 60Hz. Ich habe viel probiert, wie Stecker gedreht, nochmals alles auseinander- und wieder zusammengesteckt. Da 4k 60Hz sehr wichtig für mich ist und dies weder bei USB-C noch bei HDMI möglich ist, ziehe ich zwei Sterne ab.

This turned out to be quite a problematic hub for me. I connected it up to a modern Windows 11 laptop, via the Thunderbolt 4 port, together with several different monitors. These included a 4K@60Hz, 2K@144Hz and 2K@60Hz. I also connected a NVMe drive in an external 10Gbps external enclosure.Running a single monitor, either the 4K or 2K@60Hz was no issue at all. It did not work with the 2K@144Hz one via the DP connection. Trying to run any combination of two monitors just didn’t work at all. It will only support one monitor, if my 4K@60Hz is plugged in anyway. To run two 4K monitors, both would need to be running at 30Hz.Data transfer speeds of around 850MB/s on the USB-C/USB-A ports were quick, but below what I would normally expect the get from a 10Gbps ports. I would expect to be getting 1000MB/s.There is one frustrating issue that I did come across and that was it was hit and miss as to whether what I plugged into the hub would work if the laptop was already up and running. Often, I had to reboot the laptop for the device to be recognised. This was especially the case with the monitors.As just over £100, I think it has its limitations and you can get better performing hubs, with more ports, for less.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful.
