I volunteer at the Conservancy of SW Florida. This stylish safari hat shades my face, allows air to circulate and protects my head and face from tree debris as we clear trails and habitats.. It is not a pith helmet. It is a safari hat. Too bad the strap id decoraive and not useful as a chin strap. I added a string to secure mine from getting brushed or blown off.

Me gustó el diseño, no le gusta para nada el material con el que está hecho, me quedó grande y no tiene un barbiquejo cómo lo esperaba, fuera de eso, pues bien

This was purchased to use as decoration for an adult safari party. It worked out very well! I used a wig stand, one of my wigs, sunglasses, and this hat. A pair of binoculars around the neck and Wallah! A great Safari Decor piece!

For $10 it would be a great hat, for $20 it would be acceptable, at $40 it's almost criminal.The material is cheap and far from robust, the seams are just melted together and roughly cut. The take leather headband and chin strap is acceptable but the sweatband feels like foam rubber.The headband at least has good room for adjustment and the hat let's the breeze through without letting most insects in. Black flies can still penetrate with ease through the paper straw and un screened rivets.
