Would I buy this product again? Yes!Pros: Very well built- heavy duty/solid - Wires/pigtails also heavy duty and well insulated 8 gauge wire. very solid connection- much like that found on a roud towing trailer connection I liked the handles on the male-- makes gripping and disconnecting the cable much easier -- very tight connection initially so you will be glad they are thereCons: The spring-loaded cover on the female connector-- finger from spring exposed and potentially vulnerable to damage from elements or rough handling- not a deal breaker but could have been engineered a little better: kind of cheap looking.

This is a heavy duty port and pigtail. The wires are nice and thick. Big butt splices are included. The socket lid locks on to the plug to keep it from becoming disconnected by accident, just like a 7-way trailer plug does. Supply your own screws to attach the socket to your surface.
