Although this rack is meant to be wall mounted, I used it to organize the wiring inside the nook of an entertainment center in our family room (see Pic-3). I was pleasantly surprised to find all the needed hardware in individual bags. It even included screws and cages for shelves and other inserts not part of the package. Setup was easy and the structure was sturdy. Since I was not planing to attach it to a wall, I added a back brace made from Home Depot flat bar (see Pic-2). In its final state, the unit houses a power strip with 8 individual switches, a 24-port Ethernet switch, 2-5 port Gigabit switches, 2-32 port patch panels, a RaspberryPi, and 2 shelves for future growth (See Pic-4). I’m very happy with the purchase.

Needed something that would fit above the door in our pantry as it was the only closet space with an outlet. This fit the space perfectly. It was easy to assemble and is very study. This will work very well for my home network relocation and upgrade.

Gets the job done, but its made of very thin metal and flexes once you start sliding equipment into it.

I needed a no-frills wall-mount rack enclosure to build a network rack for the home wiring I was installing. I also needed it to be inexpensive. As the first non-vine text review of the product and someone who has been in IT for 30 years, my comments may hold more merit to those considering a product like this.I wish the designers boxed the frame on the rear side of the rack, but if you measure your mounting holes and have a solid mounting surface (in my case, I used a standard telco backing board), you'll find that it ends up installing level and square. My only serious complaint is that it comes with exceptionally cheap M6 cage nuts, which will spin inside the mounting holes. I don't typically use metric screws and cage nuts in my rack, but I also didn't have any spares in the 12-24 sizing I usually use. I chose some higher quality M6 cage nuts from a rack that I stripped all the M6s out of long ago and found that a similar issue occurred. It may not simply be the supplied cage nuts, but the square holes may be slightly oversized. The clip-in material in both types of M6 cage nuts I tried was fragile metal, so this may be a characteristic of that form factor, though the slightly better quality cage nuts didn't want to spin in the holes.I replaced them with top-quality 12-24 cage nuts, which clipped in solidly, and I have no complaints about that configuration.

Great rack for small spaces. No issues assembling even for a first time with minimal instructions. Total width is 20" wide.
