While I initially thought this would be a smart purchase because of the ability to adjust the length...I couldn't have been more wrong. It failed on the very first use! The nylon webbing is so thin, it started to fray and rip at the holes. The elastic pieces attached to the buckles were so poorly sewn to the webbing, one side broke as soon as the horse started to jog. This could have ended in a serious accident had the rider not immediately noticed the problem. The made in China label pretty much says it all!

This is a well constructed girth and my horse was comfortable. However, the billets on my saddle could not even begin to reach the buckles on this girth.Consequently, I ended up getting girth extenders and it was rather frustrating for my horse and myself finding a comfortable and secure fit. I ended up buying a different girth and passing this one onto a friend.

I got this for a beginning rider and I believe she likes it. I have not ridden the horse with her bit so have not tried it myself, but as said, I believe she loves it.
