These stakes are very lightweight, good enough for backpacking in my book. A lot of lightweight or even "ultralight" products on here are hardly that. The metal is pretty thin, but I assume the triangular shape of the stakes gives them the structure because they feel durable, I can't bend them with my hands at all. One thing to note is that because of the 3 fin pattern, they are a bit "wide", if you have a tent that has very small grommets to put the stakes into you should make sure these fit.

Needed replacement tent stakes. They get beat up so easily and especially around granite campsites. These are well made and durable. Lightweight stakes are a must and cost $3.00 just for one in a local shop. This is a no brainer and exactly what I need for replacements.

I got these to replace some larger and heavier stakes in my backpacking kit. I don't necessarily stake down a tent with them, but I carry them to use when tying knots and securing tarps or ground cloths. These smaller stakes are a much nicer size to carry in a backpack, and I really appreciate that they are not sharp! With other stakes, I've had to make cardboard covers so that the points wouldn't rip through material, but these are just slightly rounded over on all their edges, so they are much nicer to work with and carry. They even come with a carrying bag that fits all 15 of them in the size of a water bottle.

These are nice lightweight tent stakes. Great for dirt, probably not so ideal for soft sand or hard rock. But you're not going to want to sleep on rock, so who cares. The only thing you can do for really soft / fine grain sand is get a large surface area stake or tie a rope to a rock, dig a hole, and bury it.

These same pretty much identical to some stakes that I bought at Walmart, but these are half the price. Good deal. I find them preferable to the round ones because they do not bend as easily and they do not create as much resistance when you are pounding them into the ground, but they still keep from wiggling free easily. Superior design
